The Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt has been expanded with a new service building. More than 1,100 m² of concrete skin facade elements in the color chrome were used for the exterior of the new structure. Combined with the adjacent wooden residential building, this creates a seamless integration into the overall campus. The service building was constructed using conventional solid construction methods and is functionally designed to support the academy’s central operations. The dining facility has a daily capacity of over 600 people. In addition to the kitchen and dining hall, it includes specialized workshops such as a saddlery, tailor shop, shoemaker’s workshop and carpentry shop, as well as the garrison’s central clothing and equipment warehouse. A photovoltaic system was installed on the roof to provide sustainable energy. Photos: Ditz Fejer
