As monolithic-looking concrete element, formparts offer a high degree of flexibility and a wide range of design options. formparts are available with a sharp as well as a rounded edge. With the new plug & play fastening system, Rieder provides a complete solution with coordinated components.The delicate-looking yet robust custom-made elements are assembled according to requirements and create a smooth facade appearance.
Characteristics
formparts enable complex 3D shapes with round and sharp-edged corner solutions. Positive and negative angles can be combined.
formparts are custom-made and can be pre-assembled in the factory, which means weather conditions are irrelevant. This guarantees a highquality standard and rapid assembly on site. The elements are simply hooked in and tweaked into place.
As no shuttering is necessary, formparts are very attractive especially for small runs. Due to the low weight of the formparts and their large spans, less substructure is required. They provide an economical solution for the building envelope.
Products made of fibreC guarantee absolute fire resistance: fire rating A1 - “non-combustible“ approx. according to BBA Agrément Certificate 16/5362 for Great Britain and A2-s1,d0 - “non-combustible“ approx. according to abZ Nr. Z-31.4.166 for Germany.
Rieder products also serve as sophisticated privacy and sun protection. The material contributes to the cooling and heating of drums as an efficient and innovative method. With building envelopes made of fibreC there is no “heat island effect“.
formparts are manufactured individually for each project. This results in many different possible designs and mounting methods. Over the years Rieder has created a comprehensive library of solutions for formparts. Excerpts from this R2R Library are available on request.
Design
With its well curated range of colors, bricky, timber, pietra and greyscale, Rieder offers a selection of coordinated shades to create the most authentic facades possible in harmony with nature and their surroundings. The different surfaces, textures and formats lend the building envelope vibrancy and depth and give architects free reign for their ideas. Color variations within a color tone are intended and enhance the liveliness of the building material, concrete. Each color is available in the surfaces ferro, ferro light and matt. Inspired by the traditional construction method, using wood, natural stone and brick, the new color collections have been created.
Mounting
plug & play - The jointed formed parts are connected using different mounting brackets depending on size. As a system supplier, Rieder provides coordinated components, resulting in an integrated solution from a single source. The simple anchorage system allows on-site adjustment, high fitting accuracy and concealed mounting. The mounting options are compatible with all standard supporting structures and are a time-saving, economical and sustainable alternative. For the mounting of formparts. Rieder offers a library of standard details with typical vertical and horizontal sections as well as details for fire barriers, connections for glass facades, shutter boxes, ceiling cladding, roof connections and column cladding. Based on project experience, a large collection of prepared special solutions for mounting on a wide variety of building and facade types is also available.
