Welcome to the Future

A new urban district is taking shape in the western part of Hamburg’s HafenCity. The office building designed by HENN marks another architectural milestone. This new development is envisioned as a small city, integrating spaces for interaction, dining, and relaxation alongside collaborative and focused work areas. The complex is composed of two interconnected structures – a seven-story, square main building and a distinctive tower. At its core is a central atrium, open to the public and designed as a vibrant hub for communication. With a modular, square grid layout, the building consists of flexible spaces that can be customized as needed. All rooftops are designed for energy efficiency, incorporating either green retention roofs or photovoltaic panels for sustainable power generation. The red facade seamlessly integrates into the urban landscape of eastern HafenCity. Photos: Ditz Fejer
