Identity-forming architecture
The architects from COOP HIMMELB(L)AU succeeded in winning the open, international competition. Their central design idea integrated the new BMW Welt into the visual image of the BMW Tower and the museum, creating an identity-forming ensemble. A large, transparent hall and a sculptural roof are at the heart of the concept. In the interior, some areas were clad with concrete skin panels. Photos: Rasmus Norlander
