A Striking Exterior

The Meaford Public Library in Canada was designed to address the evolving needs of a diverse population. Paired with the adjacent park, the library serves as a vibrant community hub, inviting the public while thoughtfully engaging with the surrounding historic buildings. The architects clad the exterior in öko skin slats in liquid black, a color that blends harmoniously with the area’s red brick structures. By incorporating three different surface finishes, they created a vibrant interplay of textures and shades. This enhanced contrast gives the building a unique and compelling aesthetic.
