Modern educational approaches prioritise diverse learning zones for group, team, and individual work in schools. Following this principle, Dreikönigsgymnasium underwent a comprehensive refurbishment. A new extension, including a canteen, kitchen, common areas, and additional classroom wings, seamlessly complements the ensemble. The facade unifies the sports hall, existing buildings, and the new extension through a cohesive choice of materials and colours. concrete skin panels in sahara and ebony add distinctive accents, playfully integrating into the overall colour scheme. During the construction phase, the entire school was temporarily relocated to a container-based facility approximately 800 metres away, which is now being used by other schools. Photos: Ditz Fejer
