Flexible and Versatile in Use
A modern, multifunctional congress and exhibition hall has been built on the Cologne trade fair grounds. With its architectural design, the Confex Hall blends harmoniously into the ensemble of existing exhibition buildings and expands the site with a flexible event space. The new building accommodates events for up to 4,300 participants and allows for a variable connection to the adjacent halls, enabling a wide range of usage possibilities. The facade is clad with 2,900 m² of concrete skin panels and formparts in polar white. Three-dimensional lamella structures give the exterior a dynamic sense of depth and create a fascinating interplay of light and shadow. The project has been pre-certified with Platinum by the DGNB.
