The new flagship property of the citizenM hotels, with 370 rooms, was recently opened in the heart of London, right next to the Tower. The complex urban and historical surroundings of the building inspired Sheppard Robson architects to create a unique design. Traditional limestone and 570 black formparts by Rieder impart an open appearance to the building. Thanks to the support of the R2R department at Rieder, it was possible to find a technically viable and cost-efficient solution for the installation of the 2,300 m² formparts in spite of the tight schedule. Their special visual effect of the concrete elements is achieved with their sparkling surface “luce”. Photos: Ditz Fejer
