The architects from Moore Ruble Yudell planned an area for the US embassy in Chad consisting of a law firm, the coast guard compound and four supporting buildings. The architects’ aim was to create sustainable and long-lasting buildings. The facade was clad with öko skin battens and concrete skin panels. The colours were based on the different shades of the Sahel landscape. The building embeds itself perfectly into the surrounding landscape. Photos: Courtesy of U.S. Department of State
