Vibrant play of colors on the building envelope

The Oberlin College is a leading national educational institution and sets high standards in terms of environmental soundness. The Gateway Center also includes a campus hotel. For the facade, the architects at Solomon Cordwell and Buenz opted for the sustainable öko skin slats in terra. The surfaces were sandblasted to different degrees, creating an interesting play of colors. Photos: Ditz Fejer
