Element 28
Bethesda, USA

The architects at R2L designed a complex of luxury apartments and spacious retail space on a prominent spot in Bethesda’s main business district. Sustainability is a central theme of the overall concept. The roof terrace was landscaped and a park with water retaining structure is being used for rainwater management. This also significantly reduces the heat-island effect of the high-rise. Parts of the LEED Gold certified tower block were clad with öko skin slats. The glassfibre reinforced concrete elements impress with their robust, ecological, fire-resistant and natural properties.
