Residential building Scheimpfluggasse

Vienna, Austria

The architects at Buschina & Partner used perforated panels for the facade design of a residential building in a premium location in Vienna. The panels offer an interesting contrast to the otherwise plain building envelope. Small gaps in the large glassfibre reinforced concrete panels afford a partially obstructed view of what lies behind. This creates an attractive interplay between transparency and cladding. Lighting and sunlight generate an interesting play of light and shadow in the immediate surroundings.

The perforated panels can be used in a variety of ways, for example as room dividers, sun protection or design elements.
