Steinhäusl Hub

Altlengbach, Austria

Noise barriers on the left and right, on the median strip, on several levels, curved and straight – the Steinhäusl hub, where the A21 merges into the A1, is a mega-project in terms of noise control. All these measures are required to protect the over 800 residents from noise. The unfavourable topographical location of the settlements above the highways made the far-reaching noise protection systems necessary.
