BTV Bank Mitterweg
Innsbruck, Austria

Very heterogeneous building structures meet at Innsbruck’s Mitterweg. It was important for architect Rainer Köberl to create a friendly counter-pole in response to this rather dreary environment. The building structure is characterised by the striking shape of an elongated pyramid stump and a relationship of tension between openness and closedness and levity and weightiness for the facade, made of glass fibre concrete.
