As part of the structural restoration of the Institute of Economics building in Freiburg, a new modern library was created in the inner courtyard of the perimeter block development. Students have use of generously glazed reading areas and 200 workstations on two floors. The library archive is located in the basement. The facade was clad with öko skin slats in sahara. The sandstone-coloured extension thus blends in very well with the existing building.
