Systems for
roads and railways

Depending on the requirements, Rieder offers various systems for protecting people from noise. The modular building blocks of the systems can be combined as desired – under economical conditions with perfect predictability of the costs. They have been developed by architects and traffic psychologists and are characterised by an optimal combination of function and design.

Railways

The modular system, “Railways by Rieder”, allows for suitable solutions for railway tracks for open-land routes, tunnels, bridges, and railway stations.

Small arc

Due to the curved shape of the noise barrier, an improved acoustic barrier can be achieved.

Rieder 360°

The low-rised noise protection wall, Rieder 360°, provides a clear view of the landscape and the surrounding area.

Rieder 360° centre panel

The product range of the low-rised noise barrier, Rieder 360°, also offers special solutions for railway tracks where several tracks run side by side.

Rieder 360° centre panel with add-on element

The centre panels of the low-rised noise protection wall can optionally be supplemented with add-on elements in order to increase the acoustic barrier effect.

Rieton track absorber

The Rieton track absorber is installed between or on the outsides of the railway tracks and is available in a walkable and driveable design.

Straight wall

The free-standing noise barrier can be fitted with absorbers on one side or on both sides.

Straight wall
Add-on element

By using add-on elements, the height of a noise barrier can be reduced or the noise protection effect can be increased, depending on local conditions.

Add-on element
Highly absorbing platform edge

The specially developed platform edges absorb the sound directly at the noise source and offer noise control for railway stations.

Research and development

The Rieder Group is a pioneer of innovative solutions made of concrete. Current research focuses on the further development of the low noise barrier and the improvement of the absorption capacity of the noise control elements. Since 2016, Rieder has been the first supplier to have full approval for the low-rised noise barrier. Since 2017, this also includes the highly absorbing platform edge. In addition, the system approval and user declaration for the Rieder noise control system apply to high speed tracks of the Deutsche Bahn with speeds of up to 300 km/h. This approval enables Rieder to contribute to the development of important high-speed tracks across Europe.

The Rieder Group operates internationally and offers customers a large network. With 3 locations, as well as sales partners in over 50 countries, the innovative concrete products are used worldwide.
