The track absorber, Rieton, consists of aerated concrete, which is installed between, or on the outsides of, the railway tracks (only for firm tracks). In contrast to other noise protection systems, the noise control effect here already begins at the largest emission source, the wheels of the train. The absorbers are available in a walkable and driveable design and can be used both for, new construction and restoration.

  • Sound reduction

Ideal for tunnels and undergrounds where walls reflect the noise

  • System providers

RHEDA 2000® and ÖBB-PORR girder plate

  • Driveable

Emergency vehicles travel directly to the scene of the accident without rerailing

Poreton is a weather-resistant single-grain concrete, specially developed for track absorbers. It offers maximum resistance against mechanic influences and damage. Over 200 km of tracks have already been equipped with the Rieton system by Rieder.

The Rieder Group operates internationally and offers customers a large network. With 4 locations, as well as sales partners in over 50 countries, the innovative concrete products are used worldwide.
