CURVED NOISE BARRIER
With its large arc, Rieder has developed a system that can replace expensive high-maintenance enclosures or tunnel constructions. The large arc meets all requirements, even after more than 40 years, while over the same period, control components, safety systems, and ventilation would have to be replaced and structural parts would have to be restored.
Twice the sound reduction compared to straight wall of the same height
Reduced dust formation and no risk of tunnel fires
Lower installation costs compared to a enclosure
No ongoing maintenance and upkeep costs
Integration into landscape and environment
Individual design of the rear side, e.g., greening or burying
Tried and tested
Some noise protection measures originally planned as enclosures, such as the A22 in Korneuburg or the A10 in Zederhaus Hub and Eben, have already been replaced by curved noise barriers. The acoustic post-measurement at the Zederhaus Hub project confirmed the effect of the large arc and shows that the values were even reduced by 4 dB to the benefit of the residents.
