Zaragoza Bridge Pavilion
The new icon of the international exhibition EXPO 2008, which will take place in Zaragoza (Spain), will be a Pavilion Bridge enveloped by fibreC.
The British Star Architect Zaha Hadid, who has designed the Zaragoza Bridge with a length of 275 meters, has chosen panels made of fibreC to envelope the pavilion.
A complex pattern of 29.000 triangular fibreC elements in different shades causes an effect like shiny fish scales and will shimmer in the sunshine on completion.
The project was due to the complexity and scale a challenge for the whole organisation.
FNB Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg
The FNB Soccer City Stadium in Johannesburg is currently the worldwide largest and most spectacular construction site.
The innovative companies Rieder Smart Elements in cooperation with Valenta realise the exceptional façade of the world cup stadium in typical African colours

2004 - Start of operation und product development
The success story of fibreC began in March 2004 with comprehensive fundamental research and a series of experiments with glassfibre-reinforced concrete. In the course of internet research Wolfgang Rieder came across the website of a factory in Kolbermoor, Bavaria, which worked with similar materials, but was about to be closed down.
As of March 01, 2004 the existing equipment in Kolbermoor has been taken over. With a highly motivated team headed by Wolfgang Rieder, the company is lined up to start a revolution in the field of concrete worldwide.
As of June 24, 2004 the company has been successfully ceritfied according to DIN-ISO 9001:2000.
Considerable time, effort and financial resources were invested before serial production finally began at the end of 2004 and fibreC was launched into the market.
